Proof that prayer for your unsaved family works!

Seboka Birri was a demon-possessed man and was very sick for eight years. The family spent their money buying bulls for the witchdoctors and tried different places seeking healing, but to no avail. Sister Worke Tulu, an Apostolic faith believer, is a blood sister to this man. Her brother Seboka despised her because of her faith, and never visited her. He never allowed her to visit him and always avoided her, but she always prayed for him.
One day, Seboka told his unbelieving family that he wanted to go to another witchdoctor, and asked them to bring him his horse. His family accompanied him, but he really wanted to visit his sister Worke Tulu instead. He never mentioned to them about his believer sister. He took the road that led to her house. When he reached the area where his sister lived, he saluted his family who accompanied him saying, “Bye, bye. Starting today, I have become Pente (Pentecostal).” He rode off as fast as he could as if someone was chasing him. As soon as he entered his sister’s house, he fell on his knees and said, “do whatever you want to do with me.”
Sister Worke laid her hands on him and prayed with tears upon calling the Name of Jesus, and she went and brought her Pastor. The Pastor came right away and preached to him that there is no salvation in any other, for there is no other Name under heaven given to men whereby we are saved other than the name of Jesus. When he heard this, he was so touched and believed and repented and baptized in Jesus Name and came out of the water speaking in other tongues. Then the rest of the family got baptized in Jesus Name for the remission of their sins. Since then, he has never been sick. The illness that tortured him for eight years disappeared. He was delivered from the enemy and was released from heavy bondage.
As soon as he went back home, he destroyed the house he was using to worship the devil and, in its place, the Church of the Living God was built. He also gave a burial ground from his own property and now they are worshipping the peace- giver God, Jesus Christ.

Sister Shewaye Zewdu and Sister Zufale lived in the city of Goha Tsion in the Jarso District. These two church sistersr had twelve family members altogether. One Thursday, a communist cadre named Admassu Gonfa came with his gun to Sister Zufale’s home and he said, “You Pente, you are destroying our city with your false religion. I am girded with weapon to destroy people like you. Therefore, I will be back on Tuesday to kill you and throw your flesh to the ravens. No one will question me about that.”
“It is Jesus who will ask you about my blood,” She answered.
He was found dead on his bed the following Monday night, and was buried on Tuesday, the day he planned to come and kill Sister Zufale. Jesus our Lord is a protector and a revenger.

Before I came to the Truth, I had many kinds of illnesses in my body, and was much under bondage due to my fear of death. Vision of hell was coming to me frequently and I was suffering in my spirit. For ten consecutive years I suffered serious stomach trouble. I felt as if some kind of creature was running around inside my stomach. For two and a half months, I could not eat any food and was almost dying, but the merciful God gave me back my soul. My family worshipped idols. Because I am the eldest, I was forced to serve an unknown god with my family. It was at this fearful time and dark hours, when I was under the kingdom and yoke of the devil, that God sent his people to show me the right way to lead my life. When I was converted to the Truth, I was delivered from all kinds of illnesses that was torturing me for years, and from the fear of the devil. God healed me from the illness I had in my stomach that troubled me for a long time. I was baptized in Jesus Name by Brother Teklemariam in Addis Ababa on the 12th of January 1983, and was filled with the Holy Ghost in the month of March 1983, which gave me the full acknowledgment of my salvation. I became bold enough to go around my area and testify the Gospel that saved me, and many people believed and were baptized in Jesus Name for the remission of their sins and filled with the Holy Ghost and the Apostolic Church of Magno is established. After the church was planted, serious persecution broke out and the saints were beaten, bound and imprisoned many times. While in prison, they continued their testimony without fear. God gave them favor in the eyes of the leaders and they were released. They were allowed to preach the Gospel with freedom. The Church that was established now has 10 localities and 10 preaching points.

Would you take a beating for Christ? These saints did!

The Pastor of the Legawork Apostolic Church Brother Nejo’s wife suffered from acute urethral disease and went to Black Lion Hospital for surgery. The doctor made a serious mistake and left her unable to control her bladder. A second operation made matters worse and the doctors told her nothing could be done to help her. Prayer with anointing oil in the name of Jesus stopped the pain and restored her to normal. This unexpected miracle astounded the community who responded by gathering up many patients suffering from a wide variety of diseases and bringing them to the church for prayer. All of them received complete healing. When they saw all the miracles that were occurring in the Apostolic Church of Leku, many gave their ears to the Gospel. Because their churches’ teachings are not in accordance with the Bible, many hungry souls from different religious organizations began to come to the Apostolic Church. When they saw that they are losing many of their followers, their leaders became very jealous, gathered a mob, and beat our saints with iron rods and whatever else they could get their hands on. They chopped off the legs of some brothers with axes, enjoying seeing their blood gashing. Many of our saints were hurt seriously, and departed from the presence of the mob rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. In every house, marketplace, and wherever else people were found gathering, they did not cease teaching and preaching that Jesus Christ is the only God and Savior. In that week alone, 80 people from different denominations walked into the Apostolic Church and were baptized in Jesus Name. All the converts began to testify about the Truth to their friends and asked, “did God teach beating people or loving them?” Presently, in that very place where our saints sacrificed their blood and bones, a big church has been established. Since that time, 15 New Churches have been planted every five-kilometers. Brother Nedjo, Pastor of Leku (Shebedino) church, and some of the church saints beaten by the members of religious organizations who are jealous of losing their saints.
